Philosophy of mind, metaphysics, philosophy of psychiatry
I am a postdoc at Bielefeld University. My research revolves around biology, modal properties, and the mind. In my dissertation, I developed a synthesis between dispositional and selected-effects theories of biological functions for naturalizing mental content. I am currently part of a research project investigating the complexity of dispositions in the life sciences. In particular, I am focusing on modal properties in psychology and psychiatry, as well as more fundamental questions about causal bases and multitrack dispositions. I am also developing a project that aims to provide a comprehensive account of psychopathology based on the idea that mental disorders are fundamentally modal properties (dispositions or disabilities).
